Norwood Accounting has provided high quality, personalised accounting services for Shoalhaven’s small to medium sized businesses since 1994. The practice initially operated in North Nowra but moved to the larger and more central Nowra premises in Osborne Street in 2003 and was incorporated in 2013.
Our professional team is passionate about ensuring our clients achieve their goals and are proud to help in building wealth and assisting our clients and the Shoalhaven to grow.

Julie Hindwood BCom CPA
Director
Graduating from University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accountancy in 1998, and born in the Shoalhaven, Julie started with the company in 2021. She is a CPA and JP, specialising in all aspects of small to medium sized enterprises, including use of MYOB, Xero, and Quickbooks. Julie has been working in Public Practice Accounting for over 22 years.
Brian Norwood BCom CPA
Consultant
Graduating from Wollongong University with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accountancy, in 1988, Brian has worked in the Shoalhaven since this time. Brian started his own practice in 1994. Brian is a member of the CPA (Certified Practising Accounting), and is also a Registered Tax Agent, JP.
Lynne Davis
Assistant Accountant
Lynne joined Norwood Accounting in 2016 after three years as an Assistant Accountant at a Wollongong accounting firm. Lynne is responsible for BAS and tax preparation and has an excellent knowledge of MYOB, Xero and Quickbooks. Lynne is also experienced in payroll, superannuation and workers’ compensation.
Cody Smith
Junior accountant/assistant accountant
Born and schooled here in the Shoalhaven, Cody is soon to graduate from University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accountancy. Cody joined the team in March 2023. Assisting the accountants with BAS and tax preparation and is increasing his knowledge and experience in all facets of accounting.
Claire Carter
Administration
Born and raised in the Shoalhaven. Claire joined the team in July 2024. She is new to the accounting industry and is enjoying every aspect. Claire loves to help our clients with any concerns or questions they may have and ensures the smooth running of the practice.
